Kingston PAL Boxing Gym 2012


The Kingston PAL Boxing Gym starts 2012 off with a bang, a full gym with lots of Ulster County people participating, including a contingent of Ladies for Ladies Night Boxing, a group of Masters Boxers and a gym full of people interested in learning to box.





The PAL is a cross section of Masters and, Junior and Senior boxers, Fitness boxers and those interested in learning a new skill, self defense and exercise.





Remember, bring your children and or yourself, it is the longest running USA Boxing Certified Gym in the area. There are four USA registered coaches with amateur, professional and international experience.


The cost for youth FREE - the reward, Priceless.

Kingston PAL' Al Nace Semi-Finalist at 2011 Ringside National Masters Tournament

Kingston PAL Boxing Back in Full Swing

The Kingston PAL, Home of the Bill Costello School of Boxing is back in full swing. We have a couple of young men returning from out of town engagements that are preparing for the Silver Gloves. There are women and Masters Boxers too as well as fitness boxers.

Hours are Mon- Fri 5 PM - 7 PM and Saturday 10:30 AM.

Remember, as Bill would say, If I don't see you through the week, I'll see you through the window.

Billy Costello Day at Ireland vs. USA Contest

March 18 will forever be Billy Costello Day in Kingston, NY. That's what Ulster County Executive Mike Hein, and Kingston Mayor Jim Sottile said last Friday night at Kingston High School. While the occasion was a 2011 follow-up to last year Ireland-USA contest, featuring action-packed international bouts, event planners from the Kingston PAL weren't about to let the opportunity go by. What a Great Event

Great Fights both USA and USA vs Ireland. Then the great Champion Billy Costello as well as former contenders Vinny Costello, Gentleman Gerry Cooney and Mr. Renaldo Snipes, Melvina Latham the Commissioner of Boxing, add a tribute to Bill Costello with recognition from Ulster County Executive Mike Hen and Mayor Sottile naming today Bill Costello Day in Kingston NY. This is as good as it gets!

Kingston PAL Hosts International Fight Night 2011

Friday March 18 2011 the Kingston PAL Boxing Club and USA Boxing will host an International Boxing Night at the Kate Walton Field House on Kingston High School Campus, Kingston NY. The Irish Teams from Belfast Northern Ireland are returning to Kingston NY.

The Cross Community Team from the Belfast Northern Ireland are boxers from both Monkstown Boxing Club and Holy Trinity Boxing Clubs .  We'll announce more information regarding tickets and seating when these details are available.

Statue for Kingston's Costello in the works

Much like the Rocky statue graces the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a monument honoring former WBC junior welterweight champion Billy Costello will welcome visitors to Kingston near Colonel Chandler Drive.

The statue, brainchild of Costellos pal and local barbershop owner Joe LaLima, and Kingston Mayor James Sottile, is closer to becoming a reality thanks to a number of fundraisers, read the rest here

Kingston Event Was Just Great

It had bagpipes. It had athletes from Ireland. It had great food, celebrities, and just about the best amateur boxing you’ll find.

If you were one of the 700 or so amateur boxing fans who crowded into Kingstons Andrew Murphy Midtown Center Friday night, odds are you will agree that this was a very special night. The Kingston Police Athletic League and the promotion team of Kingston’s Al Nace, Tom Gordon, Aaron Fitzgerald and former WBC junior welterweight champion Billy Costello brought amateur boxers from Belfast, Ireland, to face our area’s best. And let me tell you, the action was as hot as the 95 degree heat in that ring.

The official time and date for the KingstonPAL fight night is Saturday, June 19th @ The Andrew Murphy Midtown Center, in Kingston NY.

Fight Night was a huge success this evening @ The Billy Costello Gym inside the Andrew Murphy Neighborhood Center in Kingston NY.

Several hundred fans were treated to an evening full of great amateur boxing matches thanks to the participation of several Boxing Clubs from throughout the Hudson Valley.
